2025 Media and Conversations Study | Live Discussion with Hadassa Gerber

Word of mouth is a critical influencer and form of marketing. The 2025 Media & Conversations Study assesses and quantifies the role of media in influencing conversations across demographic groups, political party affiliations, ethnicities as well as key product categories.

Questions addressed:

  • Which medium is the strongest conversation driver – broadcast, cable or streaming?
  • What are people’s attitudes toward news sources in regard to trust, believability and shareability?
  • How do media platforms influence political word of mouth? What about word of mouth among those who are in the market for products and services like auto, healthcare, home improvement, legal services, physical fitness, restaurants, retail and travel?
  • On what platform(s) do people prefer to view their sports – linear or streaming?

To find the answers to these questions and more, TVB commissioned GfK/NIQ to conduct a national study of 4,000 respondents.
